  • 30% Papers
  •  21% Tests 
  • 8% Quizzes
  •  22% projects
  •  5% Classwork/homework
  • 8 % Oral participation.  Usually in the form of a one-minute drill..
  • 6% attendance

 

World Literature II

Assessment – fourth quarter sophomores

  • 30% Papers
  •  20% Tests
  • 8% Quizzes
  • 25% projects
  • 5% Classwork/homework
  • 7 % Oral participation.  Usually in the form of a one-minute drill..

Conduct and effort rubric

Conduct- 1- Takes initiative to answers questions, and adds poignant and relevant comments to class.  Never doing other HW/assignments  during class Never asked to be quiet or settle down.  Mature and disciplined enough to keep phone and ipod away.  Always utelizes classtime in professional, mature fashion. 

Conduct 2- Will answer questions.  Great insight when called upon.  Occasionally talking, not paying attention, or doing HW in class.  Settles down quickly without complaint.  Do not see ipod or phone out in class.  Usually utelizes classtime in professional, mature fashion. 

Conduct 3- Usually needs to be asked to be quiet and to stop talking.  Leaves class frequently.  Will do some classwork, but occasionally does other work.  I see you ipod/phone frequently and there is issue to why it needs to be out of sight.  Has trouble utelizing  classtime in professional, mature fashion. 

Conduct 4- Always need to be asked to be seated, be quiet and to pay attention.  Always focused on, or paying attention to, something otehr than class material/discussion.  Need to be asked daily to put phone/ipod away.  Attempts to text in class.  Leaves class daily.  Does not have focus to utelize classtime for designed purpose. 

 

Effort 1-  All work in by or before due date.  All work done to satisfactory quality.  Student clearly mafe effort to reach their full potential.  Always utelizes classtime in professional, mature fashion.

Effort 2- Most assignments in by due date.  One or two HW assignments may be missing.  Trouble getting papers, projects and take home work in on due dates.  OR-   All work in, but of mediocre quality, or seems willing to do minimum requirement, not attempting to reach full potential.  Usually utelizes classtime in professional, mature fashion.

Effort 3-  Frequent missing HW ssignments.  One missing 'big' assignemnt ( paper/project).  Fails to retake low marks, when applicable,  or make-up quizzes and tests absent for.  HAs trouble  utelizing classtime in professional, mature fashion.

Effort 4-  Few Hw assignments done.  Few/no papers or projects completed.  Does not make up missed quizzes and tests, or does not make up low marks where applicable.  Does not utelize classtime, resources, or ask for assisstance from teacher with work that might pose diffiulty.
